Well, I had intended to comment at United Hollywood, so I signed in, and then I was commanded to create a blog. Well, when something commands me, I follow orders. Even if it's my computer or a website on my computer or in my computer or somehow affiliated with my computer.
You can see how someone like me needs unions to stand up for me. Thank God - or, as my grandmother would have said, "Thanks God" - for the WGA and SAG and AFTRA and other unions, in kind. We comedians tried to create a union years ago, but we were not successful, and, as a result, someone is now selling bumper stickers that say, "Can you imagine if the Hokey Pokey is really what it's all about?" That's my bit, and someone's making money off of it, and I have no recourse.
So, please, support the Writers' Guild because the word is where it all begins.
And, please, if you see someone sporting merchandise that reads, "Can you imagine if the Hokey Pokey is really what it's all about?"tell them Cathy Ladman wrote that.
